SKI Field Trip Information
In January 2027, WSTEM will begin a series of field trips to Little Switzerland for skiing. This is a place-based learning experience that focuses on physics and simple machines through skiing. All students (5k to 7th Grade) will be traveling to Little Switzerland for ski lessons on: Friday, January 8th, January 15th, and January 22nd, and January 29th, 2027. We will leave the school via bus at 8:30 a.m. and will return by 3:00 p.m. If you would like to stay at Little Switzerland with your child past our departure time, you will need to sign an electronic waiver each week. All students will need to report to their designated area prior to bus departure regardless if they are returning on the bus or with a guardian.
Student Price Breakdown
4 ski rentals = $118.00 per child
4 lift tickets = $118.00 per child
Total cost for lift tickets and rentals: $236.00

Payments:
Payment will be made through Infinite Campus. Login to Infinite Campus -> Navigate to Fees -> Click Optional Payments -> Select rentals and/or tickets.
Parents: Parents who plan to ski must register separately using the parent link. They will have the option to pay for their lift tickets and rentals through Infinite Campus.
Volunteers: Volunteers who are not skiing do not need to pay, but they must complete the parent/chaperone waiver.
Through our fundraising efforts, the cost for transportation this year will be 100% funded by the school.

Required Steps for Students
1.- Complete the WSTEM Ski Sign-Up and Waiver Form
Due December 4, 2026.
2.- Complete the Little Switzerland Registration and Waivers
All Little Switzerland registration and waiver forms must be completed online by December 4, 2026.
3.- Submit Payment Through Infinite Campus by December 20th, 2026.
4.- Student must read and sign the behavioral agreement that will be send home. by December 20th, 2026.
5.- Complete the WSTEM Ski Transportation and Sign-Out Form
Use this form to indicate how your child will return from each ski trip. Submit the form by January 4th, 2027. Changes may be made until 9:00 a.m. on the Thursday before each field trip5
Required Steps for Chaperones and Volunteers
2.- Submit Payment Through Infinite Campus by December 20th, 2026. If you will volunteer and you are not skiing you do not need to pay.
3.- Submit Ski Volunteer Application. by January 4th, 2026.
4.- Submit background check. For the safety of our students and staff, all volunteers must also complete the WSTEM volunteer application, which includes a background check by January 4th, 2026. (required every 3 years).
